Cross-cultural clinical consultation
For immigrants who require psychological help and support, a consultation service is available for single adults, couples and families, and adolescents. The interviews are held by the operators of the Diversa/mente association trained with specific transcultural skills (psychologists, psychotherapists, anthropologists, cultural mediators).
The clinical consultation service is available to immigrants - adults, adolescents, couples and families - who feel they have emotional suffering or psychological problems related to the migration experience, integration into the new reality, family relationships, parenting, being children, school, reunification, etc...
They can be consultations for the individual, the couple or the family and, if necessary, can include the presence of a cultural mediator.
Depending on the demand and needs, it may be possible to have a single consultation or to take charge of several sessions.
A free contribution is requested for the interviews, depending on the financial availability of the person or family requesting them. Or an agreed fee if the consultation process is part of a project in agreement with the Services or other associations.

Clinical group
For several years now, the Association has had an ethnoclinical working group made up of psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, anthropologists and cultural mediators from different cultural backgrounds. The group meets systematically once or twice a month to address the theoretical and clinical issues related to the complexity of the experience of migration and the complexity of transcultural relations not only in the contexts of care, but also in educational and social contexts.
The approach used is the ethnopsychoanalytical one, which in fact indicates that in order to deal with the complexity of a transcultural relationship a complementarity of approaches is necessary. In other words, a plurality of reflections: anthropological, psychological, historical and political, in order to use a critical thought, able to orientate itself among psychic, cultural, historical and political dimensions. It is precisely the complementarist approach that encourages and supports the development of the cultural decentralisation necessary to meet otherness. Cultural decentralisation understood as an intellectual, affective, bodily and cognitive position.
The group shares moments of reflection specifically in the clinical area, such as experiences in the area of cultural mediation in the contexts of social services and schools. The group is a permanent space for reflection, study, research and training.
